Hello everyone,
I'm afraid I have to contact you about a curious climate-related issue.
The air conditioning system in the 2.0 TDI 140 hp Tiguan 5N (2010) is no longer working.
Please find attached the
Autoscan report, as well as a picture of the climate control values that I believe are relevant, taken from the climate control unit.
The compressor seems to be running. At least, the internal "piston" is firmly engaged and everything is rotating. Also, it gets warm during operation. Both refrigerant lines leading to the evaporator remain equally warm. The small cooling fan also doesn't turn on when the AC is running. However, it can be successfully activated and runs at a high speed via the actuator diagnosis in the engine control unit. Therefore, I can rule out a mechanical defect.
I have the impression that the compressor is not working. Is there a way to verify this?
Thank you in advance for your help!
