Reset service interval Audi A4 B8

Hello everyone,

I have completed the oil service and inspections, resetting everything with long-life oil.
However, the oil service reset didn't update the time since the last inspection (for the rest of the system), while the inspection reset did.
As a result, the dashboard showed: "Inspection due in 160 days" and the engine also displayed: "Inspection due!".
I then manually set the "Time since inspection" (channel 55) from 895 days to 3, and now it matches on the dashboard.
-Question: Shouldn't this value be automatically set to 0?

Attached are the Autoscan results with no errors, as well as the oil service and inspection values.
However, I still get the message: "Inspection due!" when starting and shutting off the engine.
-Could it be that a value is incorrect?
And during the Autoscan, the message appeared: "Stability program error - See owner's manual".
However, I couldn't find anything about errors in the owner's manual. I can also turn the ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) on and off while driving, and they are also displayed.
-What can I do to get rid of the "Inspection due!" message?

I reinstalled VCWS yesterday and performed the service reset again, but the "Service due!" message at engine start and stop still appears.

I chose "Flexible maintenance intervals (remaining world/diesel engine)" in the "Service reset" menu.

However, the error message appeared immediately after starting, and also when shutting down.
The auto-scan found no errors. Although, the auto-scan briefly displayed the message "Stability program fault - See owner's manual".

I went to the ÖAMTC in Dornbirn today, and they scanned with Gutmann and Bosch, but also found no errors.

- How can the service be reset so that the error message no longer appears?
I also set channel 02 from "1 service due" to "0 service" after starting. This was also in the log, but after starting, the error "Service due!" reappeared, and the value in channel 02 was also back to 1.

- Would it be possible or necessary to reset to a fixed service without longlife oil and to set all the necessary channels to 30,000 km, 730 days, and longlife oil?

And Rainer, what do you mean by "generally" with your link?
- Do you mean to first reset in the service reset menu (is that the assistant?) and then correct certain channels?

I have the software on a tablet PC, and it doesn't have a "Print" key.

I found on Google that "Windows key + Volume Down" should save a hard copy. Unfortunately, I didn't see any reaction, and I couldn't find the file (from today's date).

Maybe take a picture of the screen with your phone instead of using the keyboard? Just a suggestion for getting the content of the screen into an image...

1. Switch to flexible maintenance intervals, worldwide, diesel engine. Usually unnecessary, just because you've clicked around before, something.
2. Reset flexible oil change service, long life, worldwide, diesel engine.
3. Reset additional services.
4. Reset inspection service, worldwide.
5. Exit the control unit with the "reset" button.
6. Turn off ignition for 5 seconds.
7. Turn on ignition.
8. Report here.

As a more or less successful driver of an A4 B8 (see signature), I'd like to offer a suggestion.

The message "Oil change due" can be cleared by setting two adaptation channels (APK) to "0", along with "km since..." and "time since...". Then, the APK for the service message should be reset.

The same applies to "Inspection due" with two other APKs, "km since..." and "time since...".

I'll leave out the details for time- or run-related tasks (brake fluid, timing belt, etc.) for now.

I'm also interested in the Screenshot you posted about "resetting maintenance intervals". I'd like to know which adjustment channels each function accesses before using it.

Otherwise, I prefer to reset the inspection service manually through individual APKs.

Also, when resetting the inspection service, Audi/VW are taking a dual approach (SSP 438 describes it at least this way). The mileage until the next inspection service is always set to the full 30,000 km interval (i.e., you reset...
[b]and[/b] changes the base value). Example: Inspection at 58,000 km - reset with new mileage of 32,000 km.
The mileage will be set to the [b]next[/b]
Event set (or leave as is), or maximum 730 days. Example: Inspection in July 2020. Brake fluid due in January 2021. The time until the next inspection should therefore be only 182 days.
