15733 - NOx Catalyst Bank 1 P20EE 00 [101] - Inefficiency too low

occurs in various TDI engines when the engine control unit (ECU) believes that the efficiency of the SCR system is too low.

It is recommended to follow the following procedure:
- Ensure that the SCR tank is filled with the appropriate amount of AdBlue solution.
- Check if there is an update available for the software of the engine control unit. See Software version check - Check the NOx sensor and its wiring.
- The AGR System must function.
- Before replacing the NOx sensor (sensor is expensive), you can try cleaning it.

After replacing or cleaning the NOx sensor and clearing the error in the engine control unit, as described above, the warning light on the instrument panel remains illuminated. Either drive a few kilometers and hope that everything is now working, or:

- Erase error in the engine control unit.
- VCDS under 01 - Engine Electronics (MSG).
- Select a default setting.
- "Select 'SCR Efficiency Test' from the Drop-Down Menu."
- Click "Start".
- Press the brake and accelerator (this will be prompted on the display, the engine RPM will drop to around 2000rpm and the glow plug indicator will light up in the KI).
- Approximately 5 minutes remaining.
- The procedure is complete when the engine speed decreases. At the same time, a message is displayed in VCDS.
- Check if the notification has disappeared in the AI.
