I accidentally discovered the following while resetting my service indicator.

Turn on the ignition.
Press and hold the button located below the oil temperature display.
3. Turn off the ignition.
4. Turn on the ignition.

When you press and hold the button, a menu appears with options numbered from 1 to 8.
I used this for comparison with another Golf, and the result was:

Advertisement for my Volkswagen Golf 3 TDI.
Volkswagen Golf 3, 1.6L engine, 75 horsepower.

1. 3819 3862
2. 1 1
3. 32255 32270
4. The number 4 is blinking.
5. All display indicators are illuminated.
6. 0 0
7. 0 0
8. trip 6.4 trip 3.9

What do these specifications mean?

MSG.

The website describes everything possible related to the VW Golf 3 and Vento, including this hidden menu (which I believe is related to assigning functions to the instrument cluster).

Hello S_Freak,

Do you really not know?

Multi-
Functionality.

A special right-hand lever switch allows different measurement values to be displayed on the screen.
Times, temperatures, kilometers, fuel consumption...

Regards,
Michael.

I only have the standard two displays on my device. The left one shows the total mileage or trip distance, and the right one is the clock. That's all; it doesn't show anything like fuel consumption.

What do these details mean?
Can I read any more information from this display?

MSG.
