Hello everyone, I'm having the following problem and I hope you can help me.
I bought an old Sprinter (903 311CDI 109 hp, engine code: 611.981) that had engine damage. It was running until it was disassembled, and it had a problem with the fourth cylinder.

I bought a Mercedes C220 CDI W203 for that purpose.
I've now converted the C-Class engine to a Sprinter engine, including the alternator, vacuum pump, high-pressure pump, fuel rail, injectors, valve cover, oil pump, and oil pan.
Engine installed, but it's running in limp mode, misfiring, and the EDC light is on.

We've already tried using a Bosch KTS 650 and a WOW program from Würth to read the data from the Sprinter, but neither of them could access the engine control unit.

Do you have any idea why it's performing so poorly and not delivering the expected results, and/or why it can't be diagnosed?

The only component that comes to mind that isn't from the Sprinter would be the crankshaft sensor. Could it be that the engine is running roughly/hard and has no power?

I would try using a Daimler Benz diagnostic tool.
Sommer: A4 B5 Avant 2,5 TDI Quattro Facelift (AKN silber)

Wartet auf H Kennzeichen: A4 B5 Avant 1.9 TDI Quattro (AFN Schwarz)

Winter: A4 B5 Avant TDI Quattro (AFN rot)

Alltags Spardose: Audi A2 1.4 TDI (AMF Silber)

Hello and thank you in advance for your reply, but I haven't registered the Sprinter yet, and given how fast it is, I didn't really want to drive it around too much.

I'm getting another one, a third one this time. I borrowed a screen reader and was able to make a little more progress with it.
- Fuel rail pressure sensor (fuel rail sensor?).
Signal voltage is too high.
- High-pressure pump shut-off components - Cable has exposed wires.
Circulation.

I disconnected the plug at the pump, and there was some diesel fuel inside. I also replaced the fuel lines, and I might have spilled some fuel in the process.
I set my multimeter to 20V and measured it at the plug. It displayed 860. The reading on the rail sensor cable was also 860. Are these values within the acceptable range? I haven't measured the sensors themselves.

The error has been found and fixed.
The connector to the rail pressure sensor had a corroded ground wire.
