Octavia 1.6 TDI CXXB has jerky movements, clunks, and intermittent failures.

Hello everyone

I have the following problem with my Skoda Octavia:

In the morning, when starting the engine for the first time, it runs roughly and stalls. When accelerating, it jerks and sputters. After a short ride or about 2 minutes idling, it runs perfectly. Once it's warmed up, it starts and runs perfectly.

The number of syringes returned in the cold state was checked and is the same for all.

The injection time deviation for cylinder 1 is significantly high at idle with a cold engine. Please check the glow plugs. Maybe the pot wasn't (fully) heated.

The incandescent bulbs draw approximately 2A of current during the actuator test.
When residual, it's approximately 2.3A.
Unfortunately, I don't have a comparison to a new one.

While the injection times vary, in the 2nd. Log seems relatively normal to me.
What immediately caught my attention was the deviation from the standard fuel pressure regulation.

Please check the wiring and connectors for the fuel pressure sensor and, while observing the log, pay close attention to the setpoint and actual value, and whether the jerking that occurs during a drop in the actual value is present.

However, in the 2nd log, it ran normally. It was already warmer at that point.

I'm facing a similar problem!

The customer did not want to invest any more money, as it was running normally after a few minutes. It has been running and functioning unchanged since then. The problem hasn't gotten any better.

The solution has been found:

Replaced the first injector due to the highest return rate, and cleaned all other ultrasound equipment. Final reconciliation of small quantities completed.

The car is now running normally again!
