Tiguan - Front parking sensors constantly beeping

"I've been experiencing a problem with my Tiguan Allspace for some time now: the front parking distance control (PDC) constantly detects something, even when I'm driving slowly or maneuvering, despite there being no obstacles nearby."

I thought I could use VCDS to adjust something – perhaps a kind of recalibration or similar. But I couldn't find anything specific for that; just about 1000 data points that mean nothing to me.

Könntet Ihr mir einen Tipp geben, wie ich mittels VCDS da strukturiert an die Fehlersuche gehen kann? Oder einfach die Sensoren tauschen? Wäre auch ne Aussage!

Ideally, I would prefer if something could be done from a software perspective.

Simply go into the STG 10 and check the sensor readings. One of them will (incorrectly) detect an obstacle. Disconnect that one and see why it's detecting something (dirt? Has it slipped out of its mount?). If necessary, replace the sensor.

The topic is quite old now, but I've only just had the chance to look at it again.

I wanted to follow the advice and read out the measurement values from each sensor.
Unfortunately, there are no measurement blocks available for this specific control unit (STG), only the extended measurements.

"And in that selection, I can't find anyone who offers what I'm looking for. But there are also just so many options. Can someone perhaps give me a tip about this?"

At the top of the advanced measurement readings, there is a search field.
I'd try using "dist" (distance) or "entfe" (short for Entfernung - distance), and be creative: gap, route, length, etc.

Doesn't the Tiguan Allspace display in the infotainment system which sensor is currently how far away from an obstacle?

Then you might even be able to tell which sensor is causing the problem without using VCDS.

In most cases, the wiring and control unit are then fine, and the fault is directly with the sensor. It's either not properly locked in place, it's dirty, or simply defective.

For testing purposes, you can swap the devices and see if the error follows one of them.
