Hello fellow enthusiasts,
I need a wire that provides 12V for installing a small navigation radio.
As soon as reverse gear is engaged, for example, the wiring for the reverse lights.
Where is the best place to tap into the 12V power source?

Hi,
Generally speaking, the signal from the reverse light switch on the transmission has to somehow reach the lights at the rear of the vehicle.
Therefore, it must also be located somewhere within the tangled mass of cables around the central electrical system.
Just get a wiring diagram, either from the dealership or from various books, to quickly figure things out based on the wire colors.
Regards,
Andy.

The signal can be accessed at the connector located behind the cover of the hood release lever on the A-pillar. I'm just not sure which pin it is; you'll need to get the wiring diagrams.
