Control unit and charger?

I'm curious if it's possible to install an AFN control unit in a 1Z engine.
and then whether I can install a turbocharger with variable geometry on my 1Z engine, and also inquire about that.

Okay, so I converted my Golf 1Z with a engine swap to an AFN engine. The wiring harness is the same. The only thing that changes in the electrical system is the valve for the VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) adjustment. You would need to replace that with the one from the AFN engine. And of course, you'll also need to change the engine control unit (ECU).
The turbocharger can also be easily converted. It definitely fits. But only including the exhaust manifold! And you have to change the flange on the exhaust system. It's not that simple without the original AFN downpipe.
Air mass sensor is the same.

So far, everything should be working correctly.
The problem I can imagine is the fuel injection pump. As far as I know, it's larger on the AFN engine. The injectors are also different.
I don't know how the engine control unit (ECU) is causing this problem. Maybe someone else does?

And then there's probably the issue of durability. I believe the AFN is partially reinforced, for example, in the connecting rod bearings.
