Hello everyone,

I installed a central locking system with remote control in my 3-door Golf IV in just two days of work.
I managed to get it done with the two doors, but this one was different.
'I'm only concerned about the tailgate; I haven't found a way to connect the central locking motor to the tailgate lock. Has anyone had experience with this, or can someone tell me how to do it? I purchased the following:'

- Waenco ML-22 (central locking system for the doors)
- Waenco ML-11 (Extra stepper motor for ML-22)
- Waenco MT-350 (control board for central locking)

Best regards,
Marco

Is the additional actuator motor for a tailgate lock or for a regular door? To my knowledge, there's a specific type of actuator motor for tailgates because the mechanism is different...

Best regards, Thorsten.

Hello,

"First, take a look at the original mechanism of a tailgate lock with central locking."
"On my Golf2, there was a movable plastic part that was actuated by the central locking mechanism. Depending on its position, the opening button on the trunk lid would either press against nothing or against the internal opener."
My suggestion: Get a suitable tailgate lock with central locking support from a junkyard or dealer. You might be able to transfer the old lock cylinder to the new lock.

Best regards, Rainer.

@ Rainer

What is the price of a new lock with central locking?

Best regards,
Marco

Hi,
A friend of mine is planning to do the same. He received the following information:

On the G4 Limousine, there are 2 different parts in the area of the tailgate latch that behave differently when the central locking system is activated.
Lock cylinder without key for central locking system.
- Part number 107 827 297 FE (approx. 65 EUR)
2. Clip for air conditioning.
- Part number 171 873 199 (approx. 50 cents)
