Hello everyone,
I have the above. Problem starts around 2000 RPM and continues until the engine shuts down.
No error code stored, according to the garage.
'The following defect loop has been identified:'
1. LMM (already cleaned, but no improvement!)
2. Fuel pressure sensor, rail pressure (electric). (Connections checked)
3. Pressure vessel (operates under pressure) for a VTG loader, Garrett brand (tested with an air pump, and appears to be in good condition).
Here are the following steps I still want to complete:
- Replace pressure vessel? (Is the membrane soft?)
- Check the fuel pressure sensor (suggestion?).
-'Trying a 'diode trick' on the LMM?'
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, or does anyone have any tips?
You're welcome for the information.
Regards,
Andy |

After modifying the connector to the Bosch mass airflow sensor (MAF) with a diode, the problem was largely resolved.
After that, I installed a new Bosch mass airflow sensor, and now it's perfect. Unfortunately, it was a bit expensive! A Pierburg alternative would be welcome if we knew which one would be compatible.
