PD Motor Workshop: 96kW, Servo Return Hose (Solution)

In Audi A4 vehicles with a 1.9L PD 96kW engine, combined with an auxiliary heater, the power steering return hose was undersized. This can cause it to come into contact with the exhaust pipe of the auxiliary heater, which can lead to chafing and damage to the protective cover or the power steering hose itself.

Remedy.
On all affected vehicles, the servo return hose must be shortened by 40 mm to ensure sufficient clearance.
