Hi,

Okay, here's a quick question about turbocharger boost pressure. So far, I've always read about peak values of around 1.5 bar. I'm interested in knowing what the maximum is. Height at 115 PD AUY.
I logged the data once today, and at that point, mine was at approximately 2.3 bar.

One starts to wonder if this might be a bit too much.
Since the beginning, I have been experiencing pipe leaks. These issues usually occur after about 30 minutes of driving.

The friendly person always said, based on my suggestion, that it was not possible to measure the boost pressure. icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif
Okay, so I changed the LMM (likely meaning 'mass airflow meter'), following the principle that 'what's familiar is usually best.' It didn't bring much improvement. The final speed is usually still reached, but the time it takes to get there can vary. In the case of longer vehicles, the pressure point of the accelerator pedal shifts towards the rear.

My next request to you, please replace the wastegate valve.
Well, there's not much I need to say about the smile. After begging, done.
AHA; now the good piece was running like a 60 HP SD, but without pressure. icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif

Back again, and the question arises: what do I want to do now?
Well, someone messed up the Schaluch. Then he ran again, but only for about 14 days.
The same old story.

Now, since it takes some time to acquire an OBD interface and the necessary accessories, it's not logical to start searching for them on your own.

It was running quite well just now, without any losses, so I immediately logged the data to have a comparison later. Therefore, the question is whether the turbocharger boost pressure is okay.
at approximately 2.3 bar.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Using VAGCOM, you measure the absolute pressure to determine the actual boost pressure.
You must subtract the ambient pressure. That would be approximately 1.3 bar for you.
At 1.5 bar, which is the pressure you are referring to, the ambient pressure has already been subtracted.

You might find the relevant data here.
