Hello,
I'm having the following problem:
In a Volkswagen Golf 4 (manufactured in 1999) with Climatronic, the servo motor for the air distribution flap, part number V71, was defective.
So, we replaced the engine, performed the basic settings using VCDS, and lo and behold... there's still an error message in the fault memory.
After examining the data blocks, it was also evident that the system did not reach the required target value.
After that, I re-removed the actuator motor mechanically and, while it was removed, I performed the basic adjustment again to see "how it operates."
He also drove it normally from front to back to the stops and took those values.
Now for the strange part:
When I switch the Climatronic to recirculation mode, a value of 24 is displayed, which is also what the actuator motor achieves.
When I manually turn off the recirculation function, a target value of 250 is set, but instead of moving "forward" – in the direction where it still has room to travel – the motor moves "backward," towards the mechanical limit of the actuator motor, which is only 24 increments away.
How can that be?
During the initial setup run, everything seems to be fine, and the specified value from the control unit (250) also seems reasonable.
I'm completely at a loss!
The two flaps, which are driven by the actuator motor, operate smoothly and easily.
