Program Car Speedometer: Easy Guide

I recently got a new speedometer (with MFA), but I would like to adjust the mileage reading again.

I have read about vdo.exe and mm.exe (also here in this forum) and have already learned quite a bit about them.

My speedometer has this socket with 4 pins on the back, and I need to build a connector for it. Does anyone happen to have the dimensions of this connector? Specifically, how far apart are the pins, and how far are they from the edge? I want to build a connector that fits perfectly.

My speedometer is made by VDO and is likely from around 1992.

Does the VDO.exe software work, or does it not?

How exactly should the software be used? Does the program need to be started with parameters? Hmm... Should I start it with a DOS startup disk and then run the program, or can I run it directly in Windows?

Boot from the diskette as I already described, and then it might work, but not always, so it's kind of a 50/50 chance.
