Hello and have a nice day icon_smile.gif.

I've recently been having a problem with the air conditioning system in my Audi A6 (C4) 2.5 TDI.
The air conditioner is no longer heating.

The troubleshooting revealed the following:

2 errors detected.

01271 041
Temperature flap control motor - V68.
blocked or de-energized

01274 041
Actuator for pressure relief valve - V71.
blocked or de-energized

That looks like an electrical problem to me!

Can anyone give me a hint as to how the servo motors receive their power?
Is there a relay or something like that?

I'm a bit lost, actually.

Good question:

In the Golf/Bora/Octavia Climatronic system, the servo motors receive their power directly from the Climatronic control unit.

It's best to start by searching for the servo motors and checking the cables and connectors first. Then, connect a multimeter and start an actuator diagnosis (I believe Audi also has a way to do this with a 'trick'). Wait and see what happens. Although it's rare, it's possible for two motors to fail at the same time. Or, some debris might have gotten in and is blocking the flaps.

mmmh...

Okay, so I think that if there are no more components between the control unit and the actuator, then the control unit is probably working correctly. That would have likely indicated the diagnosis.

So, are the actuators mechanically blocked or are the cables loose?!

So, where are these things located?
In the center console or under the cover in the engine compartment?

I haven't disassembled the interior yet.

Who knows what?

Thank you very much.
