Basic Settings for ABS/ESP Teves Mark 60

ATTENTION:
Since safety-relevant parameters can be changed here, these procedures should only be carried out by people with the appropriate expertise or experience.

A diagnostic system is necessary.
For these procedures, the ABS control unit must be selected.

1. Bleeding the hydraulic unit
2. Deactivating the Transmitter for Longitudinal Acceleration
3. Zero-Offset Input for Steering Angle
4. Zero-offset sensor for lateral acceleration
5. Zero-tolerance for brake pressure issues
6. Zero-offset Giver for Longitudinal Acceleration
7. ESP Test Drive

When replacing the control unit J104, a zero adjustment must be performed for the following components:

Sensor for Lateral Acceleration G200.
Geber für Lenkwinkel G85.
Donor 1 for Brake Pressure G201.
Donor 2 for Brake Pressure G214.
Accelerator for Longitudinal Acceleration G251.

Finally, an ESP (Electronic Stability Program) test drive should be conducted.

Bleeding the hydraulic unit

1. Select default settings
2. Enter 001.

A cycle is running that must be repeated 8 times.
A help text with step-by-step instructions will be displayed.

Deactivating the Transmitter for Longitudinal Acceleration

The reactivation of the G251 longitudinal acceleration sender is achieved by simply turning the ignition on and off once.

1. Select default settings
2. Complete the login procedure. Code: 40168
3. Enter 040.

When the "System in Basic Setting 40" message is displayed, the sensor is disabled.

Zero-Offset Input for Steering Angle

1. Start the vehicle. Perform a short test drive on a flat surface (straight and not exceeding 20 km/h).
2. Is the steering wheel straight when stopping the vehicle while it's still moving straight ahead during the test drive? Do not turn off the engine.
4. Perform the login procedure. Code: 40168.
5. Select default settings
6. Enter number 060.

If "Function is unknown or cannot be executed successfully", the login procedure has failed.

Does "System in Default Settings Comparison possible" mean that the measured values are outside the tolerance? Repeat straight-ahead departure.

Zero-offset sensor for lateral acceleration

1. Place the vehicle on a horizontal surface.
2. Complete the login procedure. Code: 40168
3. Select default settings
4. Enter number 063

If "Function is unknown or cannot be executed successfully", the login procedure has failed.

Does "System in Default Settings Comparison possible" mean that the measured values are outside the tolerance? Place the car horizontally.

Zero-tolerance for brake pressure issues

1. Do not press the brake pedal.
2. Complete the login procedure. Code: 40168
3. Select default settings
4. Enter number 066

If "Function is unknown or cannot be executed successfully", the login procedure has failed.

Does "System in Default Settings Comparison possible" mean that the measured values are outside the tolerance? Release the brake pedal completely.

Zero-offset Giver for Longitudinal Acceleration

1. Place the vehicle on a horizontal surface.
2. Complete the login procedure. Code: 40168
3. Select default settings
4. Enter number 069

If "Function is unknown or cannot be executed successfully", the login procedure has failed.

Does "System in Default Settings Comparison possible" mean that the measured values are outside the tolerance? Place the car horizontally.

ESP Test Drive

1. Select default settings
2. Enter 093

ESP-Testfahrt is enabled.

Apply the brake firmly (brake pressure of more than 35 bar) until the K155- stability program indicator light flashes.
With this, the standstill comparison is complete.

Please conduct a test drive of a maximum of 50 seconds at a speed of 15km/h...30km/h...

It must be driven in such a way that no ABS, EDS, ASR or ESP system is needed. Take a turn with a minimum steering angle of 90°.
The K47 ABS control lamp and the K155 ESP control lamp are turning off, indicating that the ESP test has been successfully completed.
Tschüss
