VP-xDI Compression: How is it Measured?

I installed this on my old Whirlpool golf cart, and it required an adapter that was screwed in.

The DI injectors are no longer screwed in.
"Is an adapter then plugged in, and how are the nozzles held in place by the lower supports?"

I'm hearing some strange noises (I'm not sure if it's valve or piston issues), and this time, before doing anything rash, I'd like to measure the compression.
