Here is my version of the Climacodes. I would really appreciate any additions, confirmations, or corrections.

Climatronic system for a 1998 Passat.

Climate codes.

Press [ECON] + [Cooler] + [Blower Low] simultaneously.
If a plus or minus sign appears after a value, it means that the target value can be varied.

00 = Total value, 0 = maximum cooling, 255 = maximum heating.
01 = Interior temperature display (on the control panel of the Climatronic system).
02 = Average solar radiation index.
03 = Solar irradiance index in mW/cm².
04 = Average outside temperature, bumper.
05 = Outside temperature, bumper, current value.
06 = Temperature sensor, fresh air intake duct.
07 = Footwell outlet temperature.
08 = Indicates the exhaust temperature.
09 = Setpoint for blower voltage (+/-).
10 = Actual blower voltage in 10-1 volts.
11 = Temperature control valve (0 = maximum warm, 255 = maximum cold), (+/-).
12 = Center vent (0 = footwell/defroster, 255 = center), (+/-)
13 = Air intake control valve (0 = recirculation, 255 = fresh air), (+/-).
14 = Footwell/defroster vent (0=windshield, 255=footwell), (+/-)
15 = Time since engine start in seconds.
16 = Speed in km/h
17 = ? goes to 0, only positive values for climate compressor [ECON].
18 = ? usually = 0, but if it's very hot, even to the point where the cooling fan turns on, values are around 64 to 69 (correlation?).
19 = Compressor shutdown condition, 0 = none, 5 = speed too low, 6 = ECON mode, 7 = OFF, 11 = ?, 12 = ? (during...)
'Accelerate from a standstill,' '?=Outside temperature too low,' '?=Temperature.' Sensors defective, ?=coolant, ???=other.
20 = ? Regulation parameters: 0 to 100, where 100 represents the maximum cooling or heating level, and values decrease towards 0.
21 = ? Rule parameters, starting at 0, values between -100? and +100.
22 = ? Regulation parameters, when properly set, should result in small values around 0. Deviation?
23 = Actual value, outlet temperature, center.
24 = Setpoint for outlet temperature (plus/minus).
25 = Temperature control flap, warm setting.
26 = Actual temperature valve setting.
27 = Temperature control valve, cold setting.
28 = Central valve, foot pedal/defroster.
29 = Nominal value, central valve.
30 = Central valve, impact point at the center.
31 = Pressure relief valve, bypass valve, air recirculation.
32 = Static pressure valve setting.
33 = Damper, fresh air inlet.
34 = Footwell/Defroster vent control.
35 = Value of footwell/defroster flap.
36 = Footwell/defroster vent actuator, footwell area.
37 = Dwell time in minutes, (ignition off) 0 to 240 minutes.
38 = ? 20
39 = Time elapsed since ignition, 4 seconds. Beat.
40 = Deviation from the norm, Negative = cooling, Positive = heating.
41 = ? 0
42 = ? 8
43 = ? 0
44 = ? Mostly 0, but also 59.

Error memory.

By simultaneously pressing the [Convection] and [ECON] buttons for 3 seconds.
On the left, a three-digit error code appears, and on the right, the number 00. Pressing the '[Temp. +]' button displays the next error code. If the code 000 appears on the left, no further errors are stored. If the [ECON] button is pressed for longer than 3 seconds, the memory will be erased.
By pressing the [ECON] button, the normal display appears.

000 = Output finished.
30b = Temperature sensor, bumper.
444 = No errors stored.
511 = Footwell temperature sensor.
4F9 = Fuse 25 in the fuse holder, fan, magnetic coupling.

Self-diagnosis.

Ignition is off. Hold down the [Convection] and [ECON] buttons simultaneously while turning the ignition on, and wait for 3 seconds. -> The diagnostic process will begin. -> At the end of the test, the number '02' will appear on the right, and the error code will appear on the left (refer to the error code list).

Hello forum,

Question:
Does anyone know about Climacode 4A6?

I deleted the code several times, but this morning it was there again.

I suspect there might be an issue with poor ventilation or a lack of power, possibly due to a sensor problem.

Who knows more codes? new_tomato.gif

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'So long, Thorsten.'
