HI.

I'm having a small problem with the blower motor in my 1995 Audi A4 with Climatronic.
The problem was that the display wasn't showing anything, and the likely cause was a loose connection and a lot of dirt. Well, it's working again now.
The other problem is that the blower motor isn't working. When you turn the fan to its maximum setting on the control panel, nothing happens. You can hear the actuators working, but that's probably irrelevant.
You can also hear a cracking sound in the passenger footwell, but nothing seems to be happening. I own a B4 myself, so I know that the pre-resistance often breaks. I don't have as much experience with the A4 as I do with the B4, but many things are likely to be the same.

This afternoon, I used VCDS (VAG-COM) and the following errors were found in the memory.
- V70 central locking motor blocked or without power.
- v71 servo motor for pressure cap.
- v2 Blower
- F118 High-pressure switch for magnetic coupling.

The strange thing about the whole situation was that the blower started running initially. After I turned it off at the control panel, it wouldn't turn on again. I'm unfortunately not sure why.
After clearing the error memory, only codes v70 and F118 remained. After clearing it again, only code F118 was present. After turning the ignition off and then on again, all the errors reappeared.
The blower motor didn't start up again either. Can anyone give me some tips on how to fix this problem? I already removed the pressure switch that's located under the air conditioning unit.
"It had two pressure/vacuum hoses connected to it, and a contact that would click every time you completely turned the blower off and then tried to turn it back on. I sprayed some contact cleaner on it, but that didn't help. What I didn't notice was that none of the levers on the actuators were moving, meaning everything above the floor vents. Does anyone know this problem?"

Best regards,

thomas
