Hello everyone.
'If I can't find a serial transceiver (STG) connected to pin 7 (even with different baud rates), could I temporarily connect the CAN High line to pin 15 instead? Shouldn't that be the second CAN line?' Is it possible to use Kline with vehicles that don't have a CAN bus? Or could I damage something?
Regards,
Basti.

Hello,

No, you can try that. What kind of car are we talking about?

Best regards, Rainer.

In the A6 (4B) model, the second K-line was installed starting in week 18 of 2001, which means, as you correctly noted, that some control units are only present in those models.
By simply 'reconfiguring' things, you should be able to achieve your goal. However, I would recommend a long-term solution with an interface that has 2 K-lines, as this works better, especially with auto-scans, and will ultimately save you time and effort.

I just built the new one (expanded and adjustable, or whatever it's called), and I don't want to build another one so soon. I wasn't sure about the one with the 2 'klines'; it was only mentioned as a discussion point or for testers.
Is there an interface available with 2 Klein connectors and an Lline connector? I actually have a C4 100 myself, and it still has the L-line.

Is there an interface with 2 Klines and Lline as well?

Sure, at Rainer's shop, it's called KKL ... http://shop.dieselschrauber.de/index.php/cPath/21{MARKER}

And what about building it yourself?
