Hello everyone, I own a VW Passat TDI, 3B, manufactured in 1998. My problem: The central locking system no longer works with the key (remote). Everything works normally when locking the doors manually. The following has already been checked: Batteries in the keys, coding (including recoding a different key = no success). Is the comfort control unit, which is located under the carpet in front of the driver's seat, now defective? Are there any other things I can check? It also doesn't work when I hold the key very close to the control unit. This could be because the antenna (in the left roof pillar) is defective.
I would be grateful for any answers.
Best regards,
Kradmelder.

Hello.
Have you already read out the comfort control unit?
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'Hello'

Hello everyone,
"I'm experiencing the same problem with my Passat TDI, which was manufactured in November 2000."
"So, the remote control isn't working anymore."
It still works to lock and unlock with the key.
Similarly, the locking and unlocking can be done with a button inside the vehicle.
The following errors were found in the comfort control unit's memory:
Control unit part number: 1C0 959 799 A
Component and/or version: 0L Comfort device HLO 0001.
Encoding: 00067
Workshop code: WSC 05311.
Additional information: 1C1959801 0L Tõrsteuer.FS 0001
Additional information: 1C1959802 0L Tõrsteuer.BF 0001
2 error codes found.
00943 - Driver's side mirror heating (Z4)
35-10 - - - Sporadically.
00944 - Shareware version. To display all error codes in plain text,

Can anyone make sense of this?
Thank you in advance.
