Please don't tell me to use the search function; I already have. I couldn't find any instructions for manual installation, at least not any that were available for free. So, please provide a link or a brief description of how to install it.
Please help me in a way that even a beginner can understand.
Sure, I know that I need to activate something.
'However, that would only cost 20 euros, while the entire installation would be 120 euros, which I think is too much!'
Here is the part:
http://shop.kufatec.de/product_info.php/cPath/2_37/products_id/68
1.) Is this all I need?
2.) How do I disassemble/take apart my car?
3.) was brauche ich für Werkzeug. Torx?
4.) How can I deal with the airbag issue without it deploying?
Thank you for your help.

Counter question: Why don't you buy the GRA turn signal lever from Volkswagen?

Hello,
I just went through something similar. I bought mine from Klawes for €110, but I saw it being sold cheaper (€99) on other platforms outside of eBay. You could try contacting him at [email protected].
'The installation took about 1.5 hours on my B5. Besides Torque's tool, you need a 12mm Torx socket (like the one used for cylinder head bolts) to remove the steering wheel. The most difficult part was accessing and loosening the connector enough so that you can plug in the contacts from the GRA wiring harness. If there's a good instruction manual included, everything goes smoothly. A dealer would charge 149 euros including installation. That's not bad if you live nearby.'
You can find the instructions for the Golf 4 and A3 on audi4ever.at.
Good luck!
Rainer.

Thank you for the link, that's exactly what I was looking for. My dealer wants 120 euros... just for the installation.
You guys are awesome!

Counter question: Why don't you buy the GRA turn signal lever from Volkswagen?
He wants 280 euros from me, including installation. That's simply too much for me. Also, he only has the lever itself, but not the wiring harness that goes with it.
However, I think it's just as easy for me, as a layman, to install an entire wiring harness as it is to connect a few wires, and that's why I chose this offer.
Are you?
Okay, so it's 20 euros for the wiring harness... not cheap, but my dealer wants to charge significantly more for it.

'That's how I installed the GRA with the FIS.'
Installation time for the GRA: 45 minutes!
Ich habe mir gleich einen Lenkstockschalter komplett mit FIS und GRA vom Schrotthändler besorgt. Cost: 30 euros!
That whole thing ended up costing me 240 euros with the FIS retrofit.
Combination with additional instruments and FIS: €128.
Lens adjustment switch: €32.
Activation fee: €50
Small parts: €30.
P.S. It would have been very difficult without a wiring diagram. I have a white T15 plug in the electrical box near the water tank!

Hi,
Overall, it's not a bad price, but I find the €50 for a single login to be a bit outrageous.
So, for 50 Euros, anyone can come by at any time, and I'll even get up specifically for them at night .
Best regards, Rainer.
