Hello,
I bought new rims.
Now, I also need some valves for that.
I saw that there are Raid valves that protrude only a few millimeters.
Question: Can I safely purchase these valves, or are there different sizes or types?
Best regards and thank you.
DJ.

Hmm, there are also cars, people, and clouds...
Could you please be more specific?

So, there are different types of valves, otherwise you wouldn't be asking, right?
Rims: RH-Cup (4x100 / 8.5 and 9x17 inches).
Desired valves: Auction number: 7923485349.
Regards,
DJ.

Well, I've also seen different lengths in standard valves before. 1993 Audi 80 B4 1Z

For example, some rims are only allowed to be used with metal valves, while with others it doesn't matter whether they are rubber or metal. As far as I know, the length of the valve doesn't play a role.
But I wouldn't worry about that. You have to get the tires mounted somewhere anyway, so just have the tire dealer do it, and optionally specify the type of valve you want (metal or chrome caps for rubber valves). VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96

As far as I know, the length doesn't play a role.
Yes, it depends on the position of the valve. At high speeds, enormous centrifugal forces can be generated, which can bend a valve that is protruding too far. Over time, this will cause the rubber to break.
For motorcycle tires, the centrifugal forces at speeds above 260 km/h can even push on the valve itself. Therefore, always make sure the valve cap is securely tightened.
