Valve Hole Diameter: Find Your Rim Size Here

What is the diameter of the hole in the rim for the valve?
Can someone please measure a rim using a caliper?

Perhaps I'll briefly explain the background.

I bought new rims.
I also bought valves from Raid at the same time.

Problem:

The valves have a diameter of 10.65 mm.
However, the hole in the rim (for the valve) is only 8 mm in diameter.

Question: Can I simply enlarge the hole with an 11mm drill bit so that the valves fit?
Nothing should really go wrong if I try to maintain a reasonable angle.

I wouldn't do that!
The valves are 'pulled in' during the 'installation' process, which makes them thinner.

It doesn't pull it in .


I only need to drill from 8mm to 11mm - what's the problem with that?
I have aluminum drill bits, and the rim is also made of aluminum.

I don't understand why my wheel doesn't have a standard diameter.

Okay, then there's nothing against drilling it out. How do the valves seal? Is there a rubber ring behind them?

Your rim likely has the standard bore for the 'standard valve'; what 'advantage' do your metal valves offer?

So, my valves have rubber seals at the top and bottom, so they should be airtight.

Advantages of valves:

I have a polished bed, so I want flat valves.

It's strange that the valves then wouldn't have standard sizes!

Caution!! These products did not previously have approval for use in the StVZo regulations.

It's strange that Raid isn't adhering to the standards, or what kind of rims are these valves intended for?

An adapter for filling was included.

Please be aware that drilling the valve opening in your rims will void their approval. Therefore, these valves are also non-standard, so they won't fit on standard road rims without modifications.

I also have 'hidden' valves installed. And I don't believe that my tire dealer would install non-approved products, let alone drill holes in the rims.
