Hello professionals,

I just received a newsletter from Westfalia.

I'm just posting this.

Edit on.

Window sealant NANO.
!! New!

• Raindrops simply bead up and are blown away by the airflow.
• Clear visibility at night and in rain.
• Longer-lasting clean windshields.
• Effortless removal of insects, ice, and dirt.
• Extremely durable effect, lasting up to 1 year.
• TÜV-certified and recommended by users. After the coating is applied, an ultra-thin, glass-like layer is formed. This prevents water from adhering and causes it to bead up. The sealant is extremely durable and provides long-lasting protection for up to one year or at least 20,000 km. You can seal all the exterior windows of your car. The complete set for the windshield and two front side windows includes a nano-pre-cleaning cloth, a nano-coating cloth, 2 polishing cloths, and a detailed instruction manual for easy application.

Edit off.

Has anyone had experience with this?
Can I throw away my windshield afterwards?

As someone who rides a lot, that all sounds very appealing.

It would be great if someone could comment on this.

Regards,

Michael.

The windshield wipers might start flapping around.

There was already a report about this, which included a test phase that was shown on television.
It's actually a great thing, but still too expensive for the average person.

You can remove the protective film from your windshield (by wiping it off), or you can simply wait until it wears off due to the windshield wipers, which will take approximately over a year.

As I said, the tests were promising, as they usually are... icon_lol.gif
However, I highly doubt that anyone has tried it here before.

Best regards, Georg.

I once tried something similar. The product was supposed to mimic the lotus flower effect. It did work to some extent, but it wasn't amazing, and the windshield wipers started making a rubbing noise. I then wiped it off with paint thinner.

Hello,

I once treated a car with a similar lotus flower nano-coating.

It was a favor for a person with a severe disability who believed that it would prevent the windows from fogging up from the inside and that they wouldn't have to wipe them anymore.

It was a terrible job applying the stuff to all the window surfaces, both inside and outside, in three separate coats.

Effect:
'Sally van Dally - Homeshow':
'Oh Dave, it's fantastic, my life has completely changed... blah'
(Please excuse this satirical interlude.)

No, just like with V-Power diesel, X-Cross toothbrushes with ball joints, or 3-phase dishwasher tablets, the following applies:

Just let it go, save yourself time and money!

Thank you for the feedback.

I'll just let it be.
Although the item is supposed to cost only 9.95€, I probably can't afford it given the circumstances.

Bye.

Michael.
