VAG-Com 409-0 Adapter: Troubleshooting & Problems

I'm having problems with VAG-Com 409-0 on an HP Omnibook 6100 (Pentium III Mobile with 1 GHz), which has Windows XP installed. Rainer's adapter is not being recognized, and therefore I can't access the control units. When I try to select the control units, I get an error code 2. If I switch the switch, I get error code 1.

What could it be? The adapter worked without any problems with Windows 2000 and version 311-2.

Then your kit is probably too old...

In July, there was a hardware change, but unfortunately, it doesn't work with the new VAG-COM versions.

An "upgrade kit" was once planned, but unfortunately, it proved to be unsuitable. So, it doesn't look promising.
