TDI V6 Camshaft: Does it affect all?

Hi.

The title says it all:

Does the "worn camshaft" problem affect ALL V6 TDI engines?

Is there a specific model year (BJ) or engine code (MKB) from which this issue was resolved?

I'm gradually considering getting a V6 TDI, which might take some time. However, since I can already "influence" the car , I would like to have it checked out thoroughly beforehand.

Hi Martin,

I am only familiar with the MKB codes AFB and, to some extent, AKN.
Michael II once posted a list of numbers that can be used to identify the specific series.
