Audi 100 AAT Transmission: Parts & Replacement

Hi everyone!!

I have an urgent problem:

Yesterday, on Wednesday, the transmission failed on my Audi 100 Avant 2.5 TDI, manufactured in 1992. Now I have a question: which types of transmissions would be compatible with this engine? Engine code: AAT.

I need to start looking for a new transmission now. I've already seen some on eBay, but I'm not sure which ones would be compatible.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Best regards, Gernot P.
