Hallo, I have the phenomenon that when I start the climate control in my Audi A3 131 PS TDI (34 TKM) (manufactured in 2002), the car really starts to shake when stationary. Not like an uneven engine run (which is harmless), but it's as if I'm shaking from the cold. This doesn't happen every time. But it's not due to the cold, as I experienced this even at 20 degrees two weeks ago !! And the car sometimes smells of exhaust fumes inside after it gets colder. Whether immediately after starting or after 10 km drive. I got a diagnostic tool from a colleague yesterday. I measured the new O2 sensor, which I have been using since Friday. On the diagnostic tool, it always showed 850 target value when I pressed the accelerator. But the car always reached around 1085-1100 regardless of the gear, when going full throttle. Once, it even reached 1.205mg !! Is this too much or normal at full throttle?
The only thing that has improved with the new LMM is that it no longer jerks when accelerating. Fuel consumption is still high: from 6 to 6.7, with a tendency to increase, and that's WITHOUT air conditioning and less gas. I had a comparison vehicle on Saturday. This car didn't 'rumble' when I took my foot off the gas. It was also a bit quieter in 4th gear, and I thought it had much more 'rum'! Was it because it had 15-inch wheels and I had 17-inch wheels? But we were driving with three people in the car with the 15-inch wheels and with two people in the car with the 17-inch wheels. With mine, you kind of have to press the accelerator pedal in the right way for it to work. And one always thinks that something more is coming, but nothing more ever happens.
I tested on the AB test... it came up at 210, but it was a struggle. I really put in a lot of effort! I've never seen a fight where someone went from 200 to 210!
Maybe someone can come up with a rhyme about what exactly is going on. Because 2 weeks after the new turbocharger control valve was installed, the car is running just like it was before the replacement. The car was running very well for about 2 weeks... *vroom*
See you, Thomas |

'Aus' means Econ or Off?
Do you have climate control or manual climate control?
When was the cooling system last refilled? |

Hello,
At Audi, models from 2002, to the best of my knowledge, only have automatic climate control. My one, however, is automatic.
'ECON' wurde ausgewählt und das Thema 'Klima' wurde seit mindestens... February 2004 - Not refilled.
Hope the information is sufficient !!
Thx! Thomas |

Hm, why are you not claiming the repair/replacement of the fuel pressure regulator valve?
That the engine consumes more fuel with a new O2 sensor is normal, because faulty O2 sensors measure less air mass and therefore also inject less fuel. |

Hello,
I have already done that. But I don't think that's the problem... although I've probably told them about it at least 10 times that it was fine for 2 weeks after the replacement, then it became bad again.
