Hello,
I'm relatively new here and I'm also very enthusiastic about reading everything.
Right now, I'm converting a T3 to use TDI technology and simultaneously installing a Renault transmission. I need to know if the AFN and 1Z engines have the same spline count for the input shaft, or if I might need an adapter sleeve. The input shaft of the transmission is 23mm thick. Does anyone know what the diameter of the hole in the clutch disc of the 1Z is?
It's poorly phrased, but hopefully understandable.
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
'Hello,'

Hello Sebastian,
Do you know Maciek's website?
http://www.stud.uni-saarland.de/~mamr0001/un1-getriebe.html
That's exactly how it's described.
The type of splining on the clutch depends on which gearbox it was connected to. For example, clutches for the Sharan have a different splining; however, often it is sufficient to simply replace the clutch disc.
Hello.
Wolfgang.
