Hello!

"Regarding my Golf IV with a 96kW ASZ engine and automatic transmission, I find..."
The GRA is really awful when accelerating.

If you continuously press the "+" button and eventually...
"When you release it, there's a strong jolt! Can't this thing just 'ease off the gas'?"

That's not normal, is it?!?!? icon_eek.gif icon_eek.gif icon_mad.gif

Hi, our cars seem to be the same except for the automatic transmission. I also have that "jerking" issue, which bothered me for a long time, but it seems like that's how it's supposed to be. I once read somewhere that it works with 1005 when accelerating with the cruise control. However, I can't reproduce the jerking if I suddenly release the gas pedal while accelerating. Basically, it's true that it immediately reduces power to maintain the set speed. Imagine if it gradually reduced the gas...
Okay, I'm assuming that's normal... at least for VW. It's smoother with Mercedes.

Unfortunately, my ALH with automatic transmission does the same thing.

It seems that the GRA is bypassing the frame rate stabilization.

I see it as a software bug.

I see it that way too. When I'm traveling alone, I find that...
It's just annoying, but the problem is that passengers.
...will probably look at you in a very strange way someday...

Well, software generally has the advantage of changing something.
to be able to... Does anyone have the source code?
A C compiler is available icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif.

I'm reviving this old thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm experiencing the same problem with my AXR, but mine doesn't have an automatic transmission. Is there a solution for this yet?

Hi,

The GRA button suddenly switches from 100% to a specific gas value. This definitely cannot be controlled by the pedal.
I see that as not very disruptive.

There probably won't be a real solution for this, as VW likely doesn't consider the problem important enough to adjust the TCU software in one of the next updates.

But there's at least a workaround: Use the gas pedal instead of the "+" button to accelerate, and simply press "Set" when you reach the desired speed... Or is your right foot completely numb when you drive with GRA icon_wink.gif?

Initially, I was also disappointed with the GRA's inadequate acceleration capabilities, but after about a year, I didn't notice it anymore...

Regards,
Sure.

Here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"Guste" is a German word that means "gust" or "gust of wind." It can also be used as a verb, meaning "to gust" or "to blow."

Here are some examples of how the word "Guste" can be used:

* "Der Guste wehte stark." (The gust of wind blew strongly.)
* "Der Wind gustete." (The wind gusted.)
* "Ich gustete." (I gusted.)

I hope this helps!

...are you talking about the jerking, or does your scooter accelerate poorly when you press the "+" button? We were talking about 100% power when you touch the "+" button. Mine also has the jerking, but it doesn't bother me anymore, because it accelerates extremely when you press it... so my foot is "completely relieved" on longer distances.

There probably won't be a real solution for it, since VW likely doesn't consider the problem important enough to adjust the STG software in one of the next updates.

This problem has existed with VW for ages. My G3 V does the same thing.

I highly doubt VW will change anything. Why would they? The car has been sold, and they've made their money. So, they'll likely ignore this issue, just like other, more serious flaws.
