Can the intake manifold pressure sensor be replaced in the engine control unit (ECU) of an AFN engine? I have a part number from Bosch: 0 273 003 210, which is supposed to be a BOSCH 250 kPa MAP sensor. Is it essentially the same as the one in the ECU of the AFN engine? Can someone tell me something about it?
I'm having a problem where my device occasionally throws a "short circuit" error code.

Hello,
Yes, that is the correct MAP sensor.
You should be able to easily exchange it.
Best regards,
Thomas. -----------------------------------------------------

Does Bosch supply this as a replacement part?
And does VW/Ford only sell complete steering control units?

You could have mentioned that earlier. I ended up buying it somewhere else.

*g* You didn't ask me, but no worries, thanks for checking! Since I didn't think there would be a market for it, I didn't include it in the shop.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hi!
Even though it probably doesn't happen very often, what do you do if you want to run an Audi, BMW, or Mercedes (AFN) engine with a turbocharger pressure exceeding 1.5 bar?
Best regards.
Peter.

Mount the 300kPa sensor and adjust the sensor characteristic curve accordingly. (But don't ask me for details, I'm afraid I'm not that familiar with the subject).
However, a significant number of adjustments would need to be made, both mechanically and in terms of software, for pressures exceeding 1.5 bar to be meaningful in the AFN system.
Regards,
Guste.
