Hello.

My brother's Golf (Pumpe Düse AJM, year 2001) needs a new timing belt.

Is it sufficient to only replace the water pump, the two pulleys, and the timing belt, or should the hydraulic belt tensioner also be replaced?

Where is it?

I only know of one type of hydraulic tensioner for ribbed V-belts.
