Hello everyone,
I know it's summer, but I have a question about the heated side mirrors. Last winter, on my Passat...
(BJ99) Heated exterior mirrors for my wife.
They both left, and quite simultaneously at that!
The error code indicates: 00943 or 00944, related to the heated exterior mirror, with the code 35-00. All fuses are okay. There's a card in the fuse box cover that indicates fuse number 9 would be responsible, but unfortunately, that slot is not occupied and cannot be used.
If you set the switch for the exterior mirror adjustment to the right or left position and clear the error memory, the error message will disappear until you move the switch back to the center position!
My studies of the circuit diagrams aren't helping me either. Does anyone have any idea how this heater is constructed - is it using a reflective film or a heating element?
Maybe someone here has an idea?

Hello,
"This error means:"
- No heated mirror installed.
- Errors in the wiring.
- Power supply to the driver's side and passenger side doors is missing.
First, check measurement block 010.
In field 2, either "ein" or "aus" should be entered.
If it says "not installed," you'll unfortunately have to test the wiring. Tschüss

hi
In 99% of cases, the mirrored lenses themselves are the cause. Remove the mirrored lenses and measure the voltage at the cables.
