I've been experiencing a rattling sound, typical of Audi vehicles, somewhere in the front axle for quite some time.
Regarding this, I have already replaced the following parts:
- Rubber-metal bearings for control arms.
- Rubber-metal bearings from the engine carrier.
- Rubber stabilizer bushing.
- Stabilizer links and right tie bars.
- Ball joints
- Control arms
- Front shock absorber.
- Front strut mount.
- Hydrolager engine mount.
- Rubber-metal transmission mounting.
- Replaced the old steering rack with a well-maintained one.
- Track rod ends.
The rattling has improved significantly, but it's still present to some extent.
not completely gone. These are mainly impacts on the front section.
to hear when short, sharp impacts occur on the front left or right suspension.
Driving over a pothole or on a bumpy road.
Street.
My question is:
I haven't completely replaced the tie rods yet, but only...
the outer joints. The tie rod is connected to the control arm via rubber bushings.
"attached to the power steering unit. Has anyone ever experienced this due to..."
The bearing in question was producing clicking noises.
disappeared after replacing the tie rod.
It would be great if you could share your experiences regarding this, as...
I'm starting to have trouble finding any joints on the front axle that I haven't already replaced.
I have exchanged.
Okay, this vehicle is a...
Audi 80 (B4) Avant TDI, manufactured in 1995, with a mileage of 221,000 km.
I would simply refer you to Mecki's Audi forum.
Use the search function there, and you will find a lot of information about clunking front axles on the B4. You will find something right away .
Regarding the problem, I took another look at my Audi today.
I have a problem with the left wheel when the steering is slightly turned, while the car is stationary.
It was constantly being moved slightly forward and backward, and there was a cracking sound.
to hear and to feel. From the cracking sound on the track, I could tell the following:
feststellen:
The front rubber-to-metal bushing of the left-side control arm.
slight play between the outer metal bushing and the fit in the control arm.
The sound is produced by the vibration of the string.
Jetzt die Frage: Hatte jemand schonmal ein ähnliches Problem. Must.
I'm looking to get a new control arm, or does anyone know where I can find one?
alternative option. The rubber-metal bearings are practically new (approximately 5000...).
km driven). The game probably happens because of the...
The ball joint in the control arm is worn out.
