Hello,

1. Question:

I want to buy a Raid Silver Arrow airbag steering wheel and replace my current, standard G3 airbag steering wheel with it.
Will that work without any issues? Do I need any adapters or anything like that?
The steering wheel has an ABE approval, so it can be installed without any registration or modifications?

2. Question:

Seit ich meinen standard-endtopf gegen diesen Edelstahl-Sport-Auspuff aus dem Angebot von ATU angebaut hab, hört man den Turbo Pfeifen wenn das Radio aus ist. Normal?
When downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear while approaching a traffic light, I hear a distinct 'whooshing' sound in my ear. Where is this coming from? Could it be the turbo because the engine speed increases from approximately 1300 to around 2500 RPM?

Okay, I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Auddo:
G3 TDI 90hp, all original parts (except for the exhaust and other metal components).

Hi,

Regarding your question about airbags, I am unable to provide any information.

But as far as the exhaust sound is concerned, I would definitely say it sounds like a turbocharger.
Because, as you already mentioned, when downshifting, the engine speed increases, and due to the faster combustion, the turbocharger kicks in a bit more.
Interestingly, most TDI owners complain that it's impossible to achieve a good sound with just a sports exhaust system.
There are even some who have cut the exhaust pipe just behind the turbocharger and still barely achieved any increase in volume!

The sound hasn't necessarily become more 'sporty' either.
You can hear the turbo whistling a bit, and it's quieter in the lower RPM range.
But a sports air filter definitely provides more 'sound'.

Diesel remains diesel (tractor), and it takes a lot of engineering to suppress the diesel sound and 'design' the noise. icon_wink.gif

I didn't get the silencer to make it sound better; I thought a stainless steel end cap would be more suitable because of its durability.

Maximize diesel engine insulation and attach speakers to it?

I'm really enjoying the sound of the diesel engine right now...

Hi,

I also like the normal sound of a diesel engine.
It's reassuring and not as nervous-sounding as many gasoline engines.
I don't have a sports exhaust either.
What I wrote above about 'sound' and 'designing,' and so on, is just what I (shaking my head) have read about the attempts of others icon_lol.gif.
Most modern gasoline engines, especially four-cylinder ones, sound like a sewing machine in the engine bay.
Then I'd rather have a diesel engine, as long as it doesn't make too much noise or vibrate excessively.

P.S.: @G3-TDI:
Der normale TDI-Auspuff hängt bei meinem Wagen jetzt 7 Jahre und 150.000 km dran. Nothing rusts here.
But a stainless steel exhaust system will definitely last longer than your Golf, probably for years.
