Hey mechanics,
The fuel filter needs to be replaced for the first time on my AXR PD engine. Does it need to be bled afterwards, or is it sufficient to just turn the ignition on a few times and let the fuel pump do its job? It runs for a short time whenever you turn on the ignition

.
The workshops have a small, hand-operated priming pump to fill the filter with fuel, but unfortunately, I don't have one. Therefore, the question is whether it is necessary.
How do PD (plasma display) panels react to fuel shortages? Is there a risk of dry running with the corresponding consequences, or is sufficient lubrication ensured by the diesel residue?
Thank you and best regards.
Eike.
