Could someone please tell me what the values in measurement block 4 indicate? Or, could someone with an AFN (presumably a diagnostic tool) share their values here while the engine is warmed up?

Here are the following values: Field 2: 3.1°, Field 3: 7.7° at idle! What could be the reason for such a high value in Field 3?

The automatic brightness adjustment setting cannot be adjusted far enough to be "dark," because...
a) the pump is set too early, or
b) The nozzle is clogged.

Then, everything indicates that the valve for the spray adjustment 108 is stuck! icon_confused.gif

The engine runs perfectly fine, except for a slight amount of vibration at low loads. Could this potentially cause any permanent damage?

I just took another measurement! In field 4, the duty cycle doesn't change at all! It always stays at 2.450, regardless of the speed! Could there be a broken wire here?

Yesterday, I meticulously checked all the cables again, especially those connected to the pump, as I had a problem there before. On the pump connector/in the motor cable harness, the green/white wire on pin 2 was completely severed, and a purple wire and another wire were partially cut just before that.

I hope I have found a solution to my problem.

Occupancy:

Pin 1 signal, rule slider position sensor, G149, reference coil.
Pin 2 'Power Supply' potentiometer G149.
Pin 3 signal, control slide, G149 measurement coil.
Pin 4: Sensor ground.
Pin 5 supply, N146 (quantity control).
Pin 6 controls N146 (flow control valve).
Pin 7: Fuel temperature signal, sensor G81.
Pin 8 is not used.

Cables are being replaced today!

...just stopped by the friendly mechanic! The N108 value is okay, but the fuel injection amount is much too high! In the MWB 000 field, I have a reading of 136 instead of 55-60.

'How could this have happened??? Did the timing belt jump a tooth?? I took the cover off once... visually, everything seems okay, and the tension is also fine!'

...I hope I'm not bothering anyone with this thread! Could someone perhaps give me some more advice about what's wrong with my vehicle?

'Yesterday, the timing belt cover was removed again! There were still markings on the pump and camshaft pulleys from the last timing belt replacement! These markings are still exactly the same, with no deviation whatsoever! Either I've been driving with a misaligned pump for the last 56,000 km, or how else could this happen? After the timing belt replacement, the fuel injection was adjusted both statically and dynamically.'

There is always a sporadic '550 control difference' error code in the error memory.
However, are the specified sources of error ruled out? The cables have now been repaired!

The car doesn't show any obvious problems and drives normally! However, I constantly have a feeling that something isn't right.

Perform a closed-loop control diagnosis with the engine running. If you hear a change in the engine noise when adjusting the fuel injection quantity, it can be assumed that the fuel injection control valve in the pump is still functioning and is not possibly stuck.

I don't think your fuel injection timing adjuster is broken. Your pump is set way too early, so it's completely misadjusted.

What kind of markings? Did they mark the wheels themselves? With a marker or something like that?
Then it should be quite clear who messed up the setup.

The amount of fuel injected is not directly related to the start of the injection process. What does the MWB 2 reading show at idle?

Ja Markierungen mit Lackstift gemacht! Der ZR Wechsel wurde in einer freien Werkstatt gemacht, jedoch habe ich den Einspritzbeginn danach in einer Seat Werkstatt mittels VAG Com überprüfen lassen! War i.O.!

'The error code didn't appear before, but it started showing up about 2 weeks ago after driving approximately 1500 km.'


Are you referring to the idle speed? 885 is absolutely normal!
