Octavia: Blower Switch Light Not Working.

Do you happen to know how to access the light bulb that illuminates the ventilation controls in a 2003 Octavia?

The center console handle cannot be removed - unlike what is usually the case - and I don't want to use force (yet). Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't provide any information about this, and on various Passats, Golfs, Ventos, etc., the switch handles always came off much more easily .

It should function as usual: apply pressure and then release.
I haven't done that on the Octavia (1?) either.

Interestingly, it seems that the incandescent light bulbs were supposedly going to be replaced with LEDs at some point (or it was being planned).

I pulled the light bulb with the leaking oil tube out of the socket, and installed the new one the same way.

At VW and Audi, the gear shift knobs came off more easily than at Skoda .
