Hi, so, it's possible that my windshields are warped!
Is it also possible that the problem is caused by a stabilizer rubber bushing?
"I'm also experiencing the same problem; whenever I drive over a manhole cover, I hear a 'click' on the right side. I had the car lifted and checked the stabilizer bar, and the left rubber bushing has a lot of play. Could the clicking sound be coming from the left bushing, even though it's heard on the right side? Could it also be the strut mount? I've already checked the shocks, wheel bearings, springs, wheel suspension, and sway bar links."

What do you think?

Best regards, Winnie.

No.

Yes, that often happens; sounds can easily travel and be heard in completely different locations.

Would a strut mount also be a possibility.

Impossible, No. Unlikely, Yes.

Did you properly bed in the new brake discs? It would also be great if you could tell me what kind of car they are for.

Sure, I forgot!
Volkswagen Golf 4 TDI, manufactured in 2002, with a 74kW ATD engine.
Yes, I noticed the brakes were sticking! I was on the highway towards Lüneburg today, and when braking at over 160 km/h, I first realized something was wrong. I usually only drive on federal roads, at speeds of 100-120 km/h, so I hadn't noticed it before.
I'll take the front wheels off tomorrow and see if I can spot anything, lol. Would you be able to tell if the brake pads were glazed?
Okay, one more thing: Not lowered, no aluminum rims, just the standard tires on steel wheels.

Did you replace the brake pads yourself? You can easily tell if brake pads are glazed because they won't brake properly anymore.

Okay, thanks for cleaning that up! It was a bit out of place as an answer.
Yes, I changed the brake pads myself, replacing the entire set on both axles.
After the change, I thought it would brake properly again, but it wasn't like that at first.
"Pads and rotors need time to bed in. We still used a machine to bleed the brakes (not by pumping the brake pedal). My friend is a certified mechanic with his own workshop and inspected the brake system; this isn't the first time I've done this!"

I don't think I'm hallucinating! If the brakes weren't working, I wouldn't be sitting here today.
Wheel imbalance? Here's the best way to check!
I believe that what happens on the test track should be the same as what happens on the actual track, right?
Practice makes perfect!

I don't believe in miracles, I guess!
Otherwise, the brakes would have worked, and I wouldn't be sitting here today.

I didn't quite mean that. While glazed surfaces still provide some braking power, it's significantly less than normal.

If you say it doesn't happen at 100 km/h, but rather at approximately 160 km/h, you definitely won't notice it on a rolling road. With a rolling road, you only achieve wheel speeds that correspond to a speed of approximately 10 km/h.

Did you also make sure that the areas where the equipment was installed were perfectly level and free of rust?

Hmm, wheel speed! Does that matter for a brake tester and a dynamometer?
I wouldn't have thought so!
I worked very carefully, but I will take the wheels off again tomorrow and take a closer look. I might even disassemble them completely and reassemble them.

Otherwise, everything points to lower quality, right? I have the windshields from SHW (Schwäbische Hütten Werke), but I won't say anything more! They are a supplier for BMW, VAG, etc.
I can't believe the quality isn't good.

What exactly are you referring to? A brake testing machine or a dynamometer? In terms of speed, there's a significant difference between the two.

-Brake testing stand: The vehicle is driven at approximately 10 km/h. This speed is sufficient to determine the braking performance.

-Performance test bench: The maximum possible speed is achieved in order to, among other things, precisely determine that speed.
