Hello,
After a fault with the differential pressure sensor on the 5-cylinder 2.5 TDI, I replaced the BPC (Blow-by Pressure Control valve) and now I'm measuring an offset of 73.95 mbar in the MWB 67 (measuring block) at idle, with a pressure difference of 76.5.
After restarting, the offset value was 37, and on the third attempt, it was 10.2 mbar.
Now, the question is:
Does the MSG (Motor Signal Generator) learn the value automatically, or do I need to manually set the offset value to zero when a new sensor is installed?
I can't seem to find the right settings to adjust this.
I have found information on topics such as Aschelernwert, AGR, etc.
Unfortunately, I didn't measure the old sensor, which would have provided an offset value.
What does this value indicate? I suspect a deviation from the normal zero value.
I'm also not finding anything when I search for "offset value."
Okay, ich verstehe. Bitte gib mir den deutschen Text, den du übersetzt haben möchtest. Ich werde dir dann nur die englische Übersetzung geben, ohne weitere Erklärungen. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hello,

As you describe it, yes.
You can properly initialize the sensor directly using VCDS.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, thanks, Rainer. Now, could you tell me where I can find the "login code from the VCDS tooltip"?
Is there a "tooltip" or similar indicator visible on the surface during the reading/pairing process?
The DPF is already loaded and the ash content has increased. Is it then really worthwhile to reset the adaptation to zero?
Best regards, Klaus. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Simply hover the mouse cursor over the input field in VCDS, and the tooltip will appear.
The differential pressure sensor has nothing to do with the ash mass; they are completely different systems.
Best regards, Rainer.

I read that regeneration is initiated when a certain differential pressure is reached. If the differential pressure is, say, 20 mbar in an old DPF, and 12 mbar in a new one, wouldn't a regeneration process with an offset of 5 mbar be different from one with an offset of 0 mbar? Or am I not understanding this correctly?
Sure, the ash content is different, but doesn't it also take into account the regeneration calculation, just like the differential pressure? Gruß, der Teileklaus
