Temperature Blend Door Actuator

Today, I was unable to regulate the temperature on the driver's side of my Audi A4 B7. It always blows warm air. The passenger side, however, blows cool air as it should. The VCDS scan showed the following:

I now know how to expand it. The question remains whether and how it can be repaired.

Assuming we're talking about a vehicle with steering on the left, then it would be:

8E1 820 511 G, costs approximately €125.

Thank you. The Audi is left-hand drive. I assume that these engines are only available from the official Audi dealership. If not, I would be grateful for any alternative sources.

The climate control motors from the A6 C4 could be relatively easily repaired. The only difficult part was the removal process.
If the casing is screwed on, you should find a kind of model motor inside. This collects a lot of debris from the carbon brushes on the commutator. This debris eventually becomes conductive, so the current essentially bypasses the motor. Cleaning the commutator and running the motor, slightly disassembled, on a laboratory power supply has helped a lot (at least for a few years ).

I can't tell you whether the components are structured similarly in the B7 model...

Thank you for your replies. I will report back when I address the issue. Yesterday, I called the Bosch service, and they were unable to provide me with the part number 8E1 820 511 G. Their comment was that Bosch may no longer be allowed to sell the motors directly .

Original equipment suppliers for these engines are typically Hella or Valeo.
My two wholesalers can't offer me anything either; they probably aren't authorized to sell accessories.

It has now become fashionable for ET companies to lock down their products for the aftermarket.

After disassembling and opening the servo motor, I observed that the plastic gears were very difficult to turn. I tested the motor's functionality by connecting it to the battery, and it worked. Therefore, I manually moved the mechanism back and forth several times and also lubricated it with grease. Now, I can adjust the temperature as desired.

I suspect that the plastic wheels may have become stuck due to prolonged inactivity, and the motor's power was not sufficient to drive them.

I'm new here and I'm having the exact same problem. Could you briefly explain where the servo motor for the left temperature flap is located and how to remove it?

First, remove the cover located under the steering wheel. Then, you will see the motor that controls the flap, located to the right of the electronic throttle. Remove this motor and carefully open the housing.
