Is it actually possible to read engine error codes from commercial vehicles via OBD2 using common VCDS interfaces? "After all, there are 24V present at the B+ terminal."
Ideally, I would have connected terminals 30 and 31, as well as CAN L+H, to the interface using stranded wire and individual pin connectors. Regarding OBD access on a Doosan dump truck (Scania DC13, Euro3).
Luckily, I didn't do it .

I suspect that device doesn't support OBD2. If so, the CAN High/Low and ground should connect to the RKS+CAN interface, which is also powered from the USB port.
Don't be fooled by that! I've been surprised more than once to find that certain (industrial) engines were compatible with OBD, even if the parameters that could be read were very limited.
