Status LEDs on the VCDS interface and their colors

The manual only states that the LED should light up green after 2 seconds, and if it lights up red, there is an error in the connection or wiring.

Today I had a problem where the LED light was orange and no connection could be established. What does this indicate?

Click the "Connection Test" button in the VCDS program settings, and the dialog box that appears will then tell you what the problem is.

CAN can only be "ready" if it is also connected to the diagnostic connector. This is not the case for all models.
In the case of an error with the K-Line signals, it will explicitly state "short circuit to ground" or "... positive."
