Hello dear community,
My name is Jörg and I'm new here on the forum.
The little bit that I've done/modified with my modest mechanic knowledge has been sufficient so far, and I'm actually getting along well with VCDS.
Now, however, I'm in a situation that I'm struggling with:
When I had my A3, I had Audi perform a software update of the climate control system from version 100 to 170. This was done to address a problem with the seat heating not working properly. From Audi, there is also a TPI.
After the update, you can also change the temperatures of stages 4, 5, and 6 in APKs 24, 25, and 26. So far, it's working... but! Since the update, the "Encoding" and "Encoding II" fields have been grayed out. This means I no longer have any way to encode anything. However, I was able to encode things (e.g., air distribution) in this STG before the update. As can be seen from the operating number.
Does anyone have any advice?
The friendly technician says he cannot influence the update. He connects the vehicle to the Audi server and enters the required diagnostic code. Okay, I'm ready.
Perhaps there is a causal relationship between the currently unresolvable error message in the STG 09 central electrical system. This refers to the seat heating and states:
Seat Heater Approval
Interruption/Short circuit to ground
The battery is completely intact and the passenger side also works perfectly. The driver's side, however, only works somewhat. Could it be that a heating pad is defective?
Then the Audi server should have contacted me, or the employee at the dealership. Weird.
I would be very grateful if you could help me here.
Best regards
