VCDS 22.10 Update & HEX-V2 Firmware Update

Hi,
During the interface test of the newly installed VCDS RKS 22.10, a firmware update for the HEX-V2 is reported as necessary.
Will the older VDCS versions still work, specifically version 18.9?
I'm using this version because the coding interface is significantly more user-friendly.

Hello Herbert,

I'm not sure if the 18.x version is running with the current firmware, probably not.

Within the VCDS installation directory, you will find LCode.exe (new) and LCode-Classic.exe (old).

If you prefer the "Classic" version, simply choose that one. The file "lch-loc.txt" contains the program name used for the long encoding, and it will then execute the .exe file specified in that file.

Does the service reset function work for the Golf 7 with the 22-10 device? Otherwise, I'll stop.

I know . I would have been interested in the complete SRI menu. But I'll get to that later; for now, I'm going to implement your suggestion about LCode-classic.

Hi,
The change to the menu view to LCode-Classic worked, thank you for the tip.
It also works with version 22.10, and version 18.9 still functions with the new firmware (although I don't actually need it with LCode-Classic).
What's not working is the "service reminder" function via the menu for the Golf 7. The error message essentially says "We don't have any data....". Guys and girls, the car is from the model year 2018, not exactly rare, and it's 2023. Maybe you could ask about it in this forum.

I'll address the "service reminder" feature in the menu of the A4 8K and possibly other models in a separate thread.
