Thanks, Rainer. That's a good tip. However, since you have to travel quite a distance to find a car dealership in the Karlsruhe district that isn't part of the Hardenberg Group, I'll keep that in mind for the next time I'm in Hamburg for business.
But let's get back to the problem.
I've also been experiencing a coolant leak recently.
0.4 liters were missing - a warning light alerted me to it.
In the workshop, the cooling system was checked and pressure-tested, and nothing was found to be wrong.
I read on the Yeti forum that, in several vehicles, the water loss was caused by a faulty AGR cooler.
The lost coolant therefore went through the exhaust.
Now my question - could this water loss, if it occurs through the AGR cooler, also negatively affect the effectiveness of AdBlue? I'm not sure in what order the EGR cooler and the NOx sensor are installed.
TDI 2.0 engine, model DFSB 2.0/110.

Hello,
Good question, whether it has an influence. I have no idea what is produced when coolant burns (which coolant, specifically) and how it affects the corresponding reactions.
In terms of the flow, everything that passes through the AGR cooler returns to the engine, or, if there were a leak, it would flow into the exhaust system before the catalytic converter (CAT) and SCR system. Coolant loss in the AGR cooler inevitably means it's being routed through the exhaust gas treatment system.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
If you have a water-cooled EGR valve and it's leaking, coolant can flow from the EGR valve into your engine.
(This should have been done before) = Water shock =
Engine scrap.
Tell your dealer, they're familiar with the problem. Merry Christmas. Wolfgang.

Current mileage: 69,000 km.
The water loss was temporary.
After adding 0.5 liters, there was no further loss.
The error is still present in the error log:
15733 - SCR NOx catalyst, bank 1.
P20EE 00 [096] - Efficiency too low.
But now, here comes the important part (it's a big deal...).
When the vehicle was relatively new, they would replace it for me.
Warranty the sensor.
After that, I was either denied or ignored whenever I pointed out that the error still persisted.
They insisted, "The error is not present in the error log that we are reading."
"The data from VCDS doesn't say anything," I was told.
I've been to Skoda dealerships 5 times in the last 3.5 years.
Deaf ears - after the sensor replacement, they didn't want to hear anything more about it.
But here's the thing...
A major inspection (including DSG/Haldex/all filters, etc.) was carried out a few days ago.
For me, this is probably the last time I'll be taking it to the workshop, because the warranty has now expired.
Do everything yourself from now on.
When I picked up the car, they told me, "There's a serious error in the error log." "This is something that really needs to be followed up on with a separate appointment."
I asked, "Which one?"
15733 - SCR NOx catalyst, bank 1.
P20EE 00 [096] - Efficiency too low.
What can I say? Anything I have to say would land me in jail.

Hi,
A few days ago, I found the same combination of error codes in the diagnostic memory of my T6 150hp 4Motion CXHA. So, I wanted to ask here if a solution has already been found for this issue.
Greetings from Berlin.

Have you already checked this?
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.

Greetings from Berlin |
Unfortunately, no.
My car was then taken to the workshop, and because I was extremely upset, they performed a factory-standard diagnostic test – without charging me for it!
Oh, how generous!
I mentioned this issue and pointed it out to them more than 10 times during the warranty period, but they didn't take any action. As soon as the warranty expired, during the first inspection after the warranty, they told me that I had "a serious problem" – namely, the very same issue... They should be glad I didn't go on a rampage.
They really took everything apart and checked it thoroughly - even sending the AdBlue to the lab - they removed the AdBlue tank, replaced the sensor, etc., but without success.
The workshop then stated that the pre-filter of the DPF needs to be replaced, and that I would have to pay for it myself – no goodwill or anything like that! The cost is approximately €2500.
I didn't have it done.
I clear the error code periodically so that no third consecutive error code is stored in the error memory.
Then there will never be a warning light on the dashboard, and it won't go into emergency mode.
My AdBlue tank lasts for about 9000 km, even though it's supposed to last for only 7000 km. I have no idea why that's happening, and I don't care if something breaks in the process.

Hello, there are 2 TPI units available, but they are from 2016, so they might still be useful. Otherwise, it's a good idea to keep the engine control unit updated with the latest software. Regular software updates related to AdBlue have been released.

Hi,
I am currently also experiencing the error code 15733 in my Sharan CFFB.
Possibly, as Dagomanu mentioned, a "recalibration of the SCR system after repair or replacement of components" is missing, because several components in the exhaust aftertreatment system were replaced. I will check this (myself/have it checked).
I have a question about the following post:
hkss wrote: |

Does the yellow engine warning light only illuminate when the error code 15733 is logged three times in a row? Currently, I am displaying:
Error priority: 2
Error frequency: 3.
And the yellow warning light hasn't come on yet. Or does the warning light only appear after the 4th start? Would it therefore be clever to clear the error memory immediately to gain some time in troubleshooting? I am aware that simply deleting something will not make the problem disappear.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!

I could have sworn that the light turned on when I was laying down for the third time.
But since I've been clearing the error memory after every 1st or 2nd service for the past 7 years, I don't remember exactly what it was like when the warning light was on in the instrument cluster back then.
I usually check it every 2-3 months - I read the error codes, and then there's usually one or two of this specific error code present.
Delete and GOOD.
I'm currently at 150,000 km and have 37 grams of residual ash.
During active regeneration, the battery only discharges down to 23%.
