Dashboard Service Light: Meaning & Fix | Posts 16+

Hello Jan,
My Cordoba Vario was manufactured in January 2000 and first registered in February 2000. The last six digits of the VIN are 094827. (ASV; 81 kW)
Instead of the timer for inspection intervals, the mileage counter comes into effect. It starts counting down 3,000 km before the scheduled inspection date.

"@Ulf: I haven't been able to measure very often due to the lack of a test track, but the differences were very close to zero. However, there were also weight differences. In my only "warm" measurement so far, the car was 50 kilograms lighter than during the winter tests (my girlfriend wasn't with me this time). The tires are the same, and you don't need winter tires in Berlin."

"@Steffi: According to the manual, my car should also be able to handle 3000km before needing service, but it hasn't. The "Service" light is flashing, which, according to the manual, means that the service is due. There's no countdown showing the remaining kilometers."

@Michael II: The codes in the service booklet and on the sticker in the car are very difficult to read, and I haven't been able to find either of them.

@Everyone: All the seat numbers that have been posted seem to me to strongly suggest a complete restart of the numbering system each year - or what do you think?
