Interesting, but it's only partially helpful. But at least it is now clarified that faking icon_smile.gif is not possible.

Of course, that's possible.

'Someone, somewhere, has to sit down and capture the desired state using an oscilloscope, and then have an AVR microcontroller reproduce it.'

... because you don't have the permission to do that in this forum (neither do I icon_sad.gif). Ask Rainer.

Hm, as a poor little pig, I wouldn't describe Gremlin as someone with great expertise..... icon_biggrin.gif
But seriously... You would definitely be the only one here who could do something like that... There are plenty of people who would be interested! icon_wink.gif

Hey, thanks to everyone for the quick help! What's surprising is that it doesn't always show the error on the display! Only occasionally, and only when starting up! After that, I can drive 1000 km without receiving any warnings!

Best regards.
micha

But now it works; I simply forgot about it when I created the new forum.

Best regards, Rainer.

Well... I can try to measure that sometime, depending on the weather and my mood. But even then, it won't be enough for AVR programming.

Here's the translation:

'Sensors are available individually, so what if you simply installed one in a container filled with oil, outside of the oil pan? Then the oil level and oil quality would always be good, which might be cheaper than a fake sensor.'

Well... something like an AVR microcontroller costs around 3 to 5 euros .
